Optometrist Wellington

Robert  has been with the practice for 30 years and is a Total Eyecare director. He has a special interest in all aspects of driving vision. Being short sighted himself, has an interest in preventing eyesight problems and myopia control. He’s interested in contact lenses for children and adults.

Recreationally, Robert is a “Foodie” as well as a keen golfer and motor racing enthusiast.

Optometrist Wellington

Greg has been practicing optometry for 30 years and has been working at Total Eyecare since 1997. He is passionate about complex contact lens fitting including Keratoconus and OrthoK lens design. Greg has a background in paediatric and development optometry and is fascinated by all aspects of the the visual process.

Greg has a lifetime experience of visual problems as he has worn glasses since before he could walk. Greg is a keen photographer, surfer and home brewer.

Dispensing Optician

John has worked in many aspects of the industry in his  36 years in the optics. He is a director in Total Eyecare and is the reason we are proud of the quality of our glasses. His problem solving in all things glasses  is well known in the community. John is a respected Dispensing Optician and has worked as an advisor to the Industry and is our trouble shooter when things are not quite as they should be.

John’s recreational interests include Golf, fishing, walking and gardening.

Optometrist Wellington

Sita is also a director of Total Eyecare. She is especially interested in Behavioural and Therapeutic Optometry. Sita graduated with Honours in Optometry in 2009 and has worked in New Zealand and overseas.

Sita enjoys fitness, dance and above all her dog.


Stephanie completing her Optometry Degree with Honours. Originally from Canada, she also has an Honours Degree in Psychology from the University of Toronto. She has an interest in ocular health and therapeutics.

Outside of work Stephanie is a busy mum. She also loves  travel, reading and going to the gym.

Optometrist Wellington

With over 20 years at Total Eyecare, Keren now works out at our Johnsonville practice. She has specific interests in children’s vision and diabetic eye health.

Being a mum to two young girls keeps her busy.

Claire Sayers

Claire is a passionate optometrist whose interests include ocular pathology and therapeutics practice. She has been in practice in the Wellington Region since 2004.

Claire is an animal lover and enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs.


Hayden enjoys a wide rage of professional optometric interests with contact lens practice a particular favourite. He’s experience includes all aspects of general optometry including diabetic eye disease.

Hayden is a keen cricketer and is interested in good cuisine.


Andrew has a background in sales, fashion and design and joined the Total Eyecare team in 2011. He enjoys helping people discover their perfect look and has a keen eye detail. Andrew brings and educated fashion eye to our team.

Andrews enjoys walking, music and seeing the latest movie or current film festival screening.

After a lifetime of studying the human face Bruce’s astute eye can help take the guess work out of the equation when choosing a frame.
As a qualified Dispensing Optician his practical knowledge will also ensure you get the best result with the prescription prescribed
Dispensing Optician

Alison is a qualified dispensing optician, and has part of Total Eyecare team for many years after an earlier career in a laboratory. She has a vast range of skills and knowledge and can help solve any frame and lens issue. With her creative, fun and ever patient personality she enjoys spending time with people to find the perfect glasses.

In her free time Alison enjoys socialising with friends and family, arts and crafts and looking after her beautiful orchids.
